Sarah Palin

I think that Sarah Palin is a ho-bag. There, I said it. And, so you all know, I don’t go around using that term loosely. I actually sat here for a few minutes trying to articulate what it means to be a ho-bag, and all that kept coming to mind were things like hoakie, puppet, soul-less, un-educated, Wal-Mart, finger shooting and bee-hive. Since I clearly cannot find the intelligent words to explain this belief, please check out the following links:

  • A couple decades ago, Peggy Macintosh wrote an article, Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack, which lists everyday examples of white privilege. What Sarah Palin has been toting around is her “invisible package of unearned assets” and cashing them in, left and right. Her “earned strength”, will not earn her power. It most certainly will not earn her my vote.
  • If all of this fodder is too heavy for your Tuesday afternoon, check out this Rolling Stone article (it’s actually pictures) revealing the Truth About Sarah Palin. Pick up the mag if you have a chance - the printed article is far superior. And Metallica is on the cover!

I can’t promise that I won’t continue posting about my disdain for Sarah Palin. I can assure you that I am feeling better (the feet are healing), I am back to work (contributing to society is a good thing) and I am ready to start blogging more (trust me, the details of my recovery are as awful as S_ _ _ _ P_ _ _ _).
